Austin Doerner, 13 time POP Tennis Champion, is the number #1 ranked Men’s Singles POP Tennis player in the world.

He shares is #1 ranking in Men’s Doubles POP Tennis in the world with his brother Scott Doerner. In 2017, they dominated all three major POP Tennis Men’s Doubles Championships, including the U.S. Open in St. Augustine, Florida, U.S. Open in New York and the National POP Tennis Championship in Venice Beach, CA.

Austin is very active in this emerging sport and is an Advisory Board Member for the POP Tennis Association, a new organization affiliated with the USTA to help re-band and grow “paddle” tennis across the United States. He also serves as the lead POP Tennis professional at several beach and tennis clubs in Los Angeles, CA. He has previously coached at the Skokie Country Club in Chicago and the Essex Country Club in Boston.

Prior to starting his POP Tennis career, Austin Doerner was one of the top players in the NCAA. He played #1 singles as a junior and senior at DePaul University and was part of the school's #1 doubles team all four years. Austin was ranked as high as #38 in the nation in doubles as a senior and later graduated with a degree in communications mass media in 2009.

A native of Australia, Doerner was one of the top 25 juniors in the country as a 14-under and a 16-under.

Both of his parents were professional tennis players and his mother, Cynthia Doerner is a former world ranked #15 who played in over 30 grand slam events and now coaches in Southern California.
